EP - Assessing Watershed Health In-Person
The Tookany/Tacony Frankford Watershed Partnership is partnering with local artist Rebecca Schultz for a multi-part educational program using arts and community science to learn about our watershed! This workshop will begin at High School Park, where participants will learn about key indicators of watershed health and conduct some sampling/monitoring activities at Tookany Creek, including collecting aquatic macroinvertebrates and testing dissolved oxygen. The workshop will then move to the Elkins Park Free Library (a 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive) to create mixed media artworks inspired by the data they collected. Families and all ages are welcome to join us for this exciting intersection of art and science. REGISTRATION REQUIRED.
